ITN - all modes: Can a consortium ask for the extension of an ITN?

The general rule is that no extension is granted to an ITN project. However, an extension may be granted for example in case of maternity leave or in the case of delays in the action because of Covid-19.

The Grant Agreement obliges ITN researchers to inform their employer of any circumstance which would affect the implementation of the grant agreement. The same obligation rests on the beneficiaries towars the coordinator. Therefore REA will allow extensions of the employment contract of an ITN researcher equivalent to the period of compulsory parental leave. Also, but only if necessary, REA will permit extensions of the duration of the grant agreement resulting from the extension of an individual employment contract so that the ITN researcher may complete their training in the ITN action.
