RISE: In a consortium consisting of several countries including Belgium and Japan: Do the Japanese institutions have to finance the secondments to Belgium themselves and does this also mean that the Belgian participant cannot claim any management costs for this?

Yes, that is right. The institutional unit costs (Training & Researcher, management & overheads) are calculated accordingly to the planned person months of staff exchange eligible for funding. Because secondments from Japan to Belgium are not eligible for funding, so they can’t claim any management costs for this.
